Sustainable Construction

Sustainable construction methods will be adopted in the delivery of the scheme to address:

  • energy use,
  • water conservation and recycling,
  • waste management, and
  • low-carbon construction.

These will include a fabric first approach which will build in a high level of energy efficiency which will last the lifetime of the new homes. This will enable on-site renewables, such as solar PV panels or air source heat pumps, or other low carbon energy sources to achieve additional carbon savings.

Electric Vehicle (EV) charging will be provided on site to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles.

All new homes will have water efficiency measures, including a water butt, helping to reduce the demand for water.
